snapshots from my weekend

after the enormous amounts of rain that we’ve had over the last year the forest is alive with fungi, mosses and sweet treasures to be discovered; if i only remember to take my time.

these photos were taken on the journey to clean our water filter {a job that should be done weekly, but more than often, is not}. our water source is spring fed and is further up the hill. the water is icy cold at the moment. it travels underground to the spring and from there it is piped to our water tank. when it rains the spring silts up and the water stops flowing. {ironically, when it pours, we run out of water at the house.}

our forest adventure. this is where we live. surrounded by lush greens, encapsulated in nature. it is beautiful, inspiring and at times challenging.

farmers’ market love…

i went to the mullum farmers’ market this morning. fresh produce, organic meat, flowers, bread and spices. juices, freshly baked cakes and treats.

this morning the cloud cover was thick and dark, keeping the heat of the morning at bay. close to a perfect morning really!

miss s and i indulged in fresh juices, and then she had her face painted {by the lovely, talented amber}. she is a fairy-flower princess in case you were wondering!

at home some cuteness and cheekiness ensued.

i’m glad it is the weekend.

mullum christmas night markets

a few of my favourite stalls from the night markets:
i loved the gorgeous, delicate tea light candle holders by blaze ceramics. i love the simplicity of louise’s designs. i would love to own any of her work! you can contact louise at blazeaustralia@gmail.com

anna lennon of cuban pink is a lifelong lover of all things vintage. anna finds enjoyment in sourcing vintage fabric, and giving them a second chance in life as part of her beautiful designs… she is also one of the most beautiful women i have ever met…

massuri is the fashion label designed by the incredibly talented and humble designer galit massuri. every massuri masterpiece is made with love by talented locals and all her designs feature natural fibres such as cotton and silk.

you can see her creations here.

indigo inspirations is run by the lovely jo. indigo inspirations stocks natural craft materials, environmental board games, quality drawing supplies, wooden toys & puzzles, beautiful books and unique hand painted wool. these products are truly divine.

the market had great live music and a complimentary glass of champagne. ’twas a great night. i love the local talent in this area!
