vosges paris

i have been reading Vosges Paris for a while now and am always treated to inspiring and beautiful eye candy. desiree has a great eye for detail and aesthetics… She has recently returned from a trip to paris and writes:

“Inspired by Paris I will make some new corners to store my clothes. I have different ideas and still having summer holidays I even had the time to actually realize the first one already… Traveling to a city like Paris can have a great impact on you and how you see your home (if you open your heart and mind for everything you see)…”

desiree has designed a bedroom makeover based on her trip (and inspired by visits to merci and other gorgeous parisian shops).

in front of this wall in her bedroom {below} was an old wooden, painted chest. removing it has made room for a stylish black metal rack to hang clothes.

'before'

'after'

desiree commissioned a ceiling-mounted black metal rack for clothing storage, it was made by a blacksmith and she painted it herself. on the wall behind she made a moodboard with pictures she shot in paris.

parisian moodboard.

a moodboard in black and white and soft greys that gives a little paris chic feeling to the room…

desiree has used wood, ceramics, metal and paper in her interiors to inject warmth and texture into an otherwise cool palette of grey, white and black.

Desiree is an incredibly kind, welcoming and friendly woman. Be sure to read her personal blog Vosges Paris for inspiration and ideas…
