snapshots from my weekend

after the enormous amounts of rain that we’ve had over the last year the forest is alive with fungi, mosses and sweet treasures to be discovered; if i only remember to take my time.

these photos were taken on the journey to clean our water filter {a job that should be done weekly, but more than often, is not}. our water source is spring fed and is further up the hill. the water is icy cold at the moment. it travels underground to the spring and from there it is piped to our water tank. when it rains the spring silts up and the water stops flowing. {ironically, when it pours, we run out of water at the house.}

our forest adventure. this is where we live. surrounded by lush greens, encapsulated in nature. it is beautiful, inspiring and at times challenging.

much love xxx

    You have an important reason to get outside, and everyone needs time outside. Your winter landscape is lush and green – just beautiful. Thanks for sharing, N.

    It’s enchanting…Though, I’m sure don’t always see as such. I didn’t grow up near anything green or lush. No forest for miles. I suppose that’s why I’ve always been fascinated by them and find them incredibly beautiful. The adventures are endless.

    It looks lovely though. So much fun to be had, but I’m sure if I lived there I wouldn’t slow down much either. You always get used to what you have.

    Your forest pictures always look so magical. It’s probably so much fun exploring it as a kid. I grew up on the edge of a large apple orchard and have fond memories of exploring it and make up stories with my friends…
